Frank M Cardello III

10-13-1965 ~ 4-14-2021

Francis Michael Cardello, III, 55, died suddenly Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in Torrington. His loving wife of almost 25 years, Naomi, was at his side.

The son of the late Francis and Diane Cardello, Jr., Frank was born in Torrington and remained a lifelong resident. He was a proud graduate of Torrington High School and Central Connecticut State University.

Almost 27 years of employment at Torrington Staples resulted in customers requesting him by name, knowing his advice would never steer them wrong.  A member of The Connecticut Society of Santas and Clowns of America, Frank loved to entertain people of all ages, whether portraying Santa, twisting balloons into every imaginable sort of creature or playing music.  His ability to conquer within moments almost any instrument he picked up awed all those who knew him.  Frank enjoyed the Dodgers, Lakers and Dolphins and taking care of his yard.

In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his brothers Edward and wife Jennifer Cardello of Wellington, FL; Jonathan and wife Rachel of Miami, FL; his three beautiful nieces Victoria and Faith Cardello of Wellington, Fl and Paige Carter of Torrington.  Frank was predeceased by his niece Hope Cardello and his faithful dog Donut.

A Celebration of Frank’s Life was held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 220 Prospect Street, Torrington at 2:00 PM.  Burial followed at new St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation was Monday, April 19, 2021 from 5-7 PM at Phalen Funeral Home, 285 Migeon Avenue, Torrington.

Memorial contributions can be made in Frank’s memory to: The CT Society of Santas, PO Box 541, Bethlehem, CT 06751.
