CTSS BOD ZOOM MINUTES 6-4-23

Attendees: Louise DesJardins (Host), Bill Dexter, David Sizemore, Bob Smith, David Daniels, Charles (Duck) Unitas, Norman Ward and Jane O’Grady.

OFFICER REPORTS:

Chairman and President – Bill Dexter

Commented on QR Code we have for both Venmo and PayPal which is needed for our Santa Cares fundraisers. Handed meeting over to David Sizemore

David Sizemore – Vice President

It was discussed that this meeting may be a good time to gather ideas from people attending this gathering on what they would like to see at this workshop. David said he would bring a flip chart and jot down any ideas anyone suggested. David asked that perhaps a signup sheet should be presented at this General meeting for future events. David also talked about marketing oneself. He suggested Town Farm Markets is a good way to get your name out there.

Bob Smith – Treasurer

Checkbook Balance $13,395.23

PayPal Balance 238.85

Bob has about $280 in checks to be deposited. He said that both Federal and State Taxes have been filed and on time. It was discussed how to establish dollar amounts in time of bereavement for any of our members or their spouses or significant others. It is Policy and normally policy is set by the Board members. However, Bob felt that since we are using member’s dues money to buy flowers or give donations to requested charity, we should get members feedback on a dollar amount. At this time the dollar amount is $35 that was set back when organization first started, however with inflation perhaps we should look at it again and possibly increase the dollar amount. Since it is policy not a bylaw, the Board makes the final decision on the dollar amount. It was an idea that at the picnic may be a good time to ask members since we have such a good turnout at this event.

Minutes from the BOD meeting of 3-19-23 were reviewed and approved by all the members.

Events (Workshop Weekend)

David Sizemore was going to gather ideas at our June General Membership gathering.

Website – Duck Unitas (Chairman), Norman Ward

It was confirmed that we now have a QR Code for both PayPal and Venmo accounts.

Newsletter – David Daniels

Dave was going to email David Sizemore ideas he collected from members to be put into the Newsletter and thought perhaps some would be useful for our workshop.

Elections and Membership – Jane O’Grady (Chair) and Louise DesJardins.

It was confirmed as of 3/4/23 we had for 2023 74 paid members. Jane had sent out another letter reminding members who have not paid their 2023 dues.
