Events (Workshop Weekend) – George McCleary (chair) & Phil Desjardins

Lake Compounce wants us to be part of their 175th Anniversary on Sat. July 24th & Sun. July 25th & possibly on Fri. the 23rd. They would give us the large conference (the ballroom) area in the main building plus smaller rooms for workshops & even changing rooms for no charge. Buffet lunch & dinner menu to be decided by CTSS BOD.

Workshops would be both Sat. & Sun. in the mornings, break for lunch & then have members change into Santa garb for the parade, photo ops & walk through the park.

Friday night “game night” is still in the planning stage.

There would be various lodging options….hotel or the park campgrounds.

We will be having a “Santa Cares Food Drive” to benefit the Bristol/Southington food banks at the entrance. The park will do all the advertizing for the food drive & deliver the food to the food banks. As an incentive for the public to bring food items, the park will waive the $5.00 parking fee. The park would like this event to become a yearly attraction for the park. The more Santas we get to come to this event the better it will be. The park would like to see 100 Santas!

Website – Duck Unitas (chair), Norm Ward & George McCleary

Duck has started some work on the website. It will be disorganized for awhile until all things are in place.

Elections & Membership – Jane OGrady (chair) & Louise DesJardins

We need to plan a one day Annual meeting for the elections of officers (President  & Secretary).

Ideal dates would be Oct 16th or 23rd. Place of meeting TBD.

Picnic – Louise & Phil DesJardins & Jane OGrady

Jacqui called John Dzen on March 11th. He is not averse to holding a picnic, but it depends on 2 things: the situation with Covid-19 & the number of member vaccinations. He would prefer the fall. He set the date of Sept. 18th with a rain date of Sept 25th.

Facebook – Louise DesJardins & George McCleary

Louise asked if we want to continue with the “Santa Chats” since attendance has been so limited. No matter how many invites she sends out, she doesn’t get very many people. Louise will send out a survey to see which day/week of the month would be best. For now, we will continue with the 3rd Monday of the month.

Next Meeting: Friday, April 16, 2021

Place of Meeting: ZOOM (Louise invites)

Time of Meeting: 7:30 PM

Adjournment: 9:44 PM Norm made the motion to adjourn, Jane seconded & all were in favor.
