CTSS BOD ZOOM Meeting Minutes – 11-19-2021
Attendees: Louise (host), Duck, Bob, Norm, Jacqui, Tom, Jane & Bill
Call to Order: 7:37 PM
Officer Reports:
Chairman & President –Bill Dexter
Would like to have a luncheon meeting on a Saturday in Mid-January. This would give us a chance to reconnect & get to know new members. Jane suggested that a laptop be brought to the meeting for members who have not signed up for the members’ page. Duck will bring his laptop.
Vice-President – Tom Harrington
Likes Bill’s suggestion of a member lunch especially after such a long Covid absence. Tom would like to get a newsletter going (maybe every other month) to better the communication between BOD & members. He would be willing to work with someone who has knowledge of Publisher. Duck suggested we establish a newsletter committee.
Treasurer – Bob Smith
Checkbook balance is $11,508.10. The Photos with Santa weekend brought in a total of $1,260.00 & Nutmeg Photography took home approximately $660.00. Expenses still need to be calculated.
We need to determine our annual donations for the year; we should keep the donations to $1,000.00. Four organizations were agreed upon: Torrington’s Christmas Village, Operation Elf (for CT Army & Air National Guard families), Hartford’s South Park Inn (for homeless & veterans) & Portland’s Homeless (domestic violence) shelter.
Secretary – Jacqui Kuzmik
Need approval of the minutes of Oct 22nd meeting. Duck made the motion to accept the minutes as corrected (typographical errors); Norm seconded the motion. All were in favor.
Committee Reports:
Website – Duck Unitas (chair), Norm Ward & George McCleary
Duck will wait until after the holidays for major upgrades to website. Has gotten a few more people to sign up on the website, but not as many as he would like.
Elections & Membership – Jane OGrady (chair) & Louise DesJardins
The 2022 membership forms will be going out right after the first of the year.
Next Meeting: Jan 15, 2022 or snow date of Jan. 22, 2022

Time of Meeting: 11:30 assembly followed by meeting & lunch
