SANTA CARES
“Santa Cares” is the Connecticut Society of Santas‘ social fundraising program that typically covers our food drives and other fundraising programs earmarked for helping local charities and food pantries. It is highly encouraged that as a CTSS member you become involved in these charitable endeavors on a volunteer basis. Either by spearheading an event yourself or helping another Santa in their efforts. CTSS is recognized regionally for our involvement in providing much needed assistance to our chosen charities but we also know that what we do is a small drop in the bucket in comparison to the needs of the community. For that reason we encourage you to help out in any way you can.
CTSS offers some support in the form of display materials and event insurance. If you are to undertake a charity fundraiser under the umbrella of the CTSS please note you will need to abide by very specific requirements in order to protect yourself, the establishment you will be setting up in and CTSS itself. For complete information and guidance in complying with the CTSS requirements please consult with Jacqui Kuzmik in advance of your event.
Below are a few articles that help explain the “Santa Cares” project and some insight into running a successful event.
