CTSS BOD ZOOM Meeting Minutes – 8-20-21

Attendees: Louise (host), Phil, George, Bob, Jane & Jacqui

Absent: Bill, Duck & Norm

Call to Order: 7:35 PM

Officer Reports:

Chairman – Bill Dexter

President – George McCleary

None

Vice-President – Phil DesJardins

Phil tendered his resignation as Vice President due to health effective September 1, 2021. An email was sent 8-20-21 to members asking for a volunteer to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term which is one year (Jan. 2023).

Treasurer – Bob Smith

A deposit of $2,619.00 was made, which brought the balance in the checkbook to $9,970.60.

The bill for the annual renewal of our insurance policy is due in the amount of $699.00. A motion was made by George & seconded by Jane to pay the $699.00 for the insurance. All were in favor.

A check for $554.00 was written to the New Canaan Food Pantry. This was proceeds from the food drive Bill did in New Canaan on July 17, 2021

Secretary – Jacqui Kuzmik

Motion was made by Bob & seconded by Jane to approve the minutes of 7-16-21 as submitted.

Committee Reports:

Events (Workshop Weekend) – George McCleary (chair) & Phil Desjardins

None.

Website – Duck Unitas (chair), Norm Ward & George McCleary

Elections & Membership – Jane OGrady (chair) & Louise DesJardins

Phil’s remaining term: An email was sent to members about filling the remaining term of Vice President. If there are no responses from this email, then nomination forms will be given out at the Annual Membership Meeting/Picnic on Sept. 18, 2021.

President & Secretary Election: Jane will email nomination forms to our members for this year’s election which consist of the offices of President & Secretary.     

If not attending Annual Meeting/Picnic, nominations will be accepted electronically, until midnight Sept. 17th or from the floor by the end of Annual Meeting/Picnic on Sept. 18th. 

If the picnic/annual meeting has to be cancelled due to Covid, then those people who answered yes to the RSVP will have until Saturday, Sept 25th to return their nomination forms via email.

The Election Committee will contact nominees. Ballots (with name & picture) will then be emailed to members for their consideration. They will have until midnight on Friday, Oct 1st to return their ballots. An email will then be sent to members announcing winners.

Picnic – Louise & Phil DesJardins & Jane OGrady

Sept 18, 2021 (rain date Sept 19, 2021). Jacqui will send out an email about the Annual Meeting/Picnic to members. We will combine the picnic & our Annual meeting this year for convenience.
