CTSS BOD ZOOM Meeting Minutes 9-17-21

Attendees: Louise (host), Bob, Jane, Norm, George, Duck & Jacqui – Tom Harrington has internet difficulties & cannot join the meeting.

Call to Order: 7:53 PM

Officer Reports:

Was to welcome Tom Harrington as Vice President but he is not available at this meeting.

The current balance in the checking account is $9,221.60. Sent in check for the insurance & issued a $50.00 check to the Secretary of State Office for the annual filing. Pending deposits consist of 2 – $20.00 checks for 2022 memberships. . George questioned what our insurance covered. Bob said it covered our members only, in any event that we (CTSS) sponsor such as the Photos with Santa, Garlic Festival, Bethlehem Fair & any Santa Cares Food Drive (as long as our banner is prominently displayed & photos are taken of the event. It does not cover any members during a private event.

Secretary – Jacqui Kuzmik

Jacqui asked if everyone had a chance to review the minutes of 8-20-21, then asked for a motion to accept the minutes as written. Norm made the motion & Duck seconded the motion. All were in favor except Norm who abstained.

Committee Reports:

Events (Workshop Weekend) – George McCleary

Gorge is meeting with Larry from Lake Compounce to discuss compensation from our Workshop Weekend. He will report at next meeting

Website – Duck Unitas (chair), Norm Ward & George McCleary

Would like to change our logo. It will maintain the original look, is fully editable, scalable & modifiable, but it has the same feel as the old one. Everyone voiced their approval. Website is still under development & future features will include: Online registration & dues payment

Editable “Find a Santa” section, CTSS Events Listing (linked to Facebook group page), 2022 Santa Weekend information & registration,

Elections & Membership – Jane OGrady (chair) & Louise DesJardins

Nominees were Jacqui Kuzmik for Secretary & Bill Dexter for President. Jane will send out an email with an election form for voting which has to be returned by Oct. 1st for counting of votes. A ZOOM general membership meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 25th at 7:00 PM to introduce officers to members.
